Gochara
गोचर
What does Gochara mean?
Where the birth chart is fixed, gochara is the moving sky. Vedic astrologers track transits chiefly from the Moon sign: for example, Sade Sati is the roughly 7.5-year period when Saturn transits the sign before, of, and after the natal Moon.
Transits are read together with dashas — the dasha sets the chapter of life, and gochara supplies the weather. Daily Vedic horoscopes are essentially a simplified reading of current gochara for each Moon sign.
