    Moksha

    मोक्ष

    What does Moksha mean?

Moksha is the fourth and highest aim of human life (purushartha), after dharma (duty), artha (prosperity), and kama (pleasure). It means freedom from ignorance, suffering, and the endless round of rebirth.

The Gita offers multiple paths to moksha — selfless action, devotion, knowledge, and meditation — and promises that even a little practice on this path protects one from great fear. Krishna assures Arjuna that those who take refuge in him attain the supreme peace.
